Depart Marrakech in the morning and journey through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) with stops for panoramic photos and tea in Berber villages.
Explore the historic Kasbah of Telouet, once the seat of the powerful Glaoui family.
Continue through the Ounila Valley to the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning fortified village used as a filming location for many movies (e.g., Gladiator, Game of Thrones).
After lunch, travel to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.”
Visit the Atlas Film Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah, then head to Dades Valley via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.
Travel through the dramatic Dades Gorges, with its winding roads and striking rock formations like the “Monkey Fingers.”
Continue to Tinghir and the towering Todra Gorges, where 300-meter cliffs form a canyon oasis.
Pass by palm groves and mud-brick villages en route to Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil workshops.
Then head to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara.
You’ll be welcomed with a mint tea at your desert hotel.
After breakfast, begin a desert exploration by 4×4. Visit the Gnawa village of Khamlia, known for its spiritual music and people of West African origin.
Explore the Mifiss mines, and share tea with Berber nomads living in the vast desert, learning about their traditions and lifestyle.
Return to the hotel to prepare for your camel caravan ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying the sunset on the way.
At your desert camp, savor a delicious dinner and experience Berber music under the stars.
Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes—a moment you’ll never forget.
After breakfast and a shower back at your desert hotel,
continue to Rissani, home of the Alaouite dynasty and a traditional market town.
Drive through Alnif and Tazarine, reaching the lush Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s largest palm groves.
Visit the historic Kasbah of Tamnougalt in Agdz, then follow the scenic route back to Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, visit the Kasbah Taourirt or take an optional second visit to Ait Ben Haddou if you wish.
Then, cross the High Atlas Mountains once more via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, making stops for photos and refreshment.
Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and enjoy some free time to relax or explore on your own.
After breakfast, depart for a full-day excursion to the charming Atlantic port city of Essaouira.
Along the way, see goats climbing argan trees and visit a local women’s cooperative producing argan oil.
Once in Essaouira, you can stroll the UNESCO-listed medina, explore the Skala de la Kasbah fortifications,
visit art galleries and Tuya wood shops, and enjoy fresh grilled fish at the lively harbor.

On your 4-day desert trip from Marrakech, Pick up at your hotel in Marrakech at 8:30 a.m. and start of the route. Departure from Marrakech via the Col Tichka mountain pass, where we will cross the Atlas Mountains, making stops to enjoy the magnificent views that the route has in store for us and to rest or take photos whenever you feel like it. Continuation to Ouarzazate, where we will contemplate the Kasbah of Taourirt. We continue the route, meeting the town of Skoura, located in the heart of the valley of palm trees, an extensive and labyrinthine oasis whose exuberant vegetation covers beautiful secret kasbahs. We will take a 4×4 tour through the Skoura palm grove and we will also visit its Amerdil Kasbah. . From here, we will continue through the Valley of Roses (famous for their cultivation) until we reach the impressive Dades gorges. Dinner and overnight at the Dades Hotel.
After breakfast, we will continue along the banks of Boulmane, where a road opens up dotted with kasbahs (fortresses or castles) and ksour (fortified citadels), whose landscape is ocher, red, and mauve. Around us, we will find stony plateaus where dromedaries graze. After a journey full of ksour, oases, and palm trees, we will arrive at Tineghir (where the spectacular Todra gorges are located), perched at 1,350 m altitude and surrounded by a palm grove. We continue towards Erfoud (city of fossils) and then we will arrive at Rissani, with its interesting market, where nomads from the surrounding area come to sell their livestock and buy the belongings they need. Finally, we will arrive in Merzouga, in front of the high dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the afternoon, the dromedaries await us and we will enter the desert while the sun sets, until we reach the tent camp in the middle of the high dune desert, where we will spend the night in a tent. Dinner and night in a camp under the desert stars.
In the morning, after breakfast, we will return by camel to the town and meet the driver to visit Khamlia, a town originally from Mali, where we will relax with tea while enjoying a small concert of Gnawa music. Before leaving Merzouga,
We will take a short tour of the Erg Chebbi in 4×4, an extension of sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, more than 250 meters high. connecting by track with part of the route followed
by the old Paris-Dakar
and with the mountains that border Algeria in the background. Stop at a panoramic point where you can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. The rest of the day we will use to return to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley, one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Stop to admire the charming adobe kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the route and the interesting geological formations of the Draa Valley. Dinner and night in Ouarzazate.
Ouarzazate is also known as the Holliwood of Morocco, as many famous films have been filmed there (The Jewel of the Nile, The Scorpion King, Kingdom of Heaven, Mission Cleopatra, etc.) and continue to be filmed. If you like cinema, you can visit the film studios where the sets for some of these films are located. Then heading north, detouring along a 6 km track that will take us to the town of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit its Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). In this spectacular setting, renowned films such as Gladiator and The Jewel of the Nile have been filmed. Lunch in the town and Continue We will cross the Great Atlas Mountains again, with their beautiful landscapes.
