3 Days Form Marrakech to Desert

This is a unique 3-day trip from Marrakech to the desert. You will cross the so-called Route of a Thousand Kasbah and discover an unparalleled landscape, full of stories and beautiful contrasts: extensive valleys, gorges, dunes, mountain passes, and remote villages camouflaged in the landscape, as well as majestic adobe fortresses that crown the hills. This is one of the best circuits in Morocco to get to know the Sahara Desert and have a unique experience.

Itinerary: Of 3 Days desert  tour From Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech, Ait Ben Haddou and Dades Gorges

Departure of Our 3 Days From Marrakech to the Desert in the morning, we will cross the Col Tichka (the highest pass in the Atlas Mountains) and the Great Atlas, where we will discover remote Berber villages camouflaged in the landscape. Then we continue to Ouarzazate.

known as the Hollywood of Morocco. Visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a jewel of the region, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a fortified town with beautiful crenellated and decorated towers, one of the most beautiful kasbahs in the Atlas region. We will continue along the road of the Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the Valley of Roses, to reach our destination, the Dades Valley. Night in a riad.

day 2: dades Gourges, Merzouga

After breakfast, we will leave for the desert through one of the most spectacular places in Morocco: the Todra Gorges. It is an ideal place to walk and discover its impressive and natural rock walls, which are more than 200 meters high. We will have time to take a walk through the gorges and then continue towards Merzouga. Arrival at the hotel, where we will change the vehicle for the camels.

You will take a beautiful trip through the dunes of Merzouga on the back of these animals (replaceable by 4×4) on a journey to the camp, located in these dunes, the largest in all of North Africa. You will contemplate the sunset from the top of the dunes and enjoy some of the most beautiful starry skies in the world. Night and dinner in Berber tents.

Day 3: Merzouga, Rissani, Ziz Valley, Azrou – Fes

Appointment with the Dawn: ” since you are in the desert, it is advisable to get up early to walk to the highest dune around the camp to enjoy the sunrise and this relaxing landscape that nature offers us. Breakfast and return to Merzouga by 4×4 or camels to meet our guide. Once ready,

We will head north through the Tafilalet Palm Grove, where, in 20km, we will be able to see countless palm trees, making it one of the largest palm groves in the world. Crossing it, we will reach the Ziz Valley, the name given to the river that comes down from the High Atlas and that feeds the palm grove. Here we will make an obligatory stop to observe the valley from above and see the town of Aoufous.

Planned stop in Midelt, right in the heart of the atlas, to rest for a while and have lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue our way, passing through the Cedar Forest again. Arrival in Fes around 5 p.m. or so, transfer to the hotel and end of the trip
