We depart from Marrakech crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with stops in picturesque Berber villages.
Explore the Telouet Kasbah and drive along the stunning Ounila Valley to visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most iconic sites.
Continue along the Route of 1000 Kasbahs, visiting Amridil Kasbah in Skoura, then pass through the Valley of Roses and enjoy photo stops in Dades Valley.
End the day in Todra Gorges, where you’ll have dinner and stay overnight in a local hotel.
After breakfast, continue your journey through Tafilalt’s oases and villages toward Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops.
From here, cross the rocky desert plateau to reach Merzouga, gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Mount your camel and trek across the golden dunes to your Berber desert camp.
Enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, with local music and drumming by the campfire. Overnight in comfortable nomadic tents.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then ride camels back to the edge of the desert.
Visit Rissani and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif,
then head toward the palm groves of Alnif and Tazarine, crossing the wild and vast Hamada desert.
Meet nomadic families in traditional tents before continuing to Zagora.
Dinner and overnight in a charming hotel or guesthouse.
After breakfast, explore the Zagora palm grove, then drive through the lush Draa Valley, home to thousands of date palms and ancient kasbahs.

On your 4-day desert trip from Marrakech, Pick up at your hotel in Marrakech at 8:30 a.m. and start of the route. Departure from Marrakech via the Col Tichka mountain pass, where we will cross the Atlas Mountains, making stops to enjoy the magnificent views that the route has in store for us and to rest or take photos whenever you feel like it. Continuation to Ouarzazate, where we will contemplate the Kasbah of Taourirt. We continue the route, meeting the town of Skoura, located in the heart of the valley of palm trees, an extensive and labyrinthine oasis whose exuberant vegetation covers beautiful secret kasbahs. We will take a 4×4 tour through the Skoura palm grove and we will also visit its Amerdil Kasbah. . From here, we will continue through the Valley of Roses (famous for their cultivation) until we reach the impressive Dades gorges. Dinner and overnight at the Dades Hotel.
After breakfast, we will continue along the banks of Boulmane, where a road opens up dotted with kasbahs (fortresses or castles) and ksour (fortified citadels), whose landscape is ocher, red, and mauve. Around us, we will find stony plateaus where dromedaries graze. After a journey full of ksour, oases, and palm trees, we will arrive at Tineghir (where the spectacular Todra gorges are located), perched at 1,350 m altitude and surrounded by a palm grove. We continue towards Erfoud (city of fossils) and then we will arrive at Rissani, with its interesting market, where nomads from the surrounding area come to sell their livestock and buy the belongings they need. Finally, we will arrive in Merzouga, in front of the high dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the afternoon, the dromedaries await us and we will enter the desert while the sun sets, until we reach the tent camp in the middle of the high dune desert, where we will spend the night in a tent. In the morning, after breakfast, we will return by camel to the town and meet the driver to visit Khamlia, a town originally from Mali, where we will relax with tea while enjoying a small concert of Gnawa music. Before leaving Merzouga,
We will take a short tour of the Erg Chebbi in 4×4, an extension of sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, more than 250 meters high. connecting by track with part of the route followed
by the old Paris-Dakar
and with the mountains that border Algeria in the background. Stop at a panoramic point where you can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. The rest of the day we will use to return to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley, one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Stop to admire the charming adobe kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the route and the interesting geological formations of the Draa Valley. Dinner and night in Ouarzazate.
Ouarzazate is also known as the Holliwood of Morocco, as many famous films have been filmed there (The Jewel of the Nile, The Scorpion King, Kingdom of Heaven, Mission Cleopatra, etc.) and continue to be filmed. If you like cinema, you can visit the film studios where the sets for some of these films are located. Then heading north, detouring along a 6 km track that will take us to the town of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit its Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO).
