5 Days Trip from Marrakech to Tangier

This remarkable journey takes you from the south to the north of Morocco, concluding in the vibrant city of Tangier, renowned for its excellent air and sea connections.

Throughout this thrilling adventure, you’ll experience breathtaking landscapes along the route of a thousand Kasbahs, adorned with numerous adobe structures perched atop mountain peaks, surrounded by lush palm groves concealing adobe homes and fortresses.

Trip itinerary

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE – DADES VALLEY

We’ll depart Marrakech, crossing the Tichka Pass (the highest point in the Atlas Mountains) and discovering remote Berber villages nestled in the landscape. Our first stop will be Ouarzazate, often referred to as the Hollywood of Morocco. We’ll visit the stunning Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a beautiful fortified town featuring ornate towers. Continuing through Ouarzazate, the cinematic capital of Morocco,

we’ll travel along the Thousand Kasbahs road through the Rose Valley to our destination, the Dades Valley, where we’ll spend the night in a charming riad.

DAY 2: DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGES – TINJDAD – TOUROUG – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

After breakfast, we’ll start our journey toward Skoura’s palm grove,

traversing the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley until we reach the Todra Gorge.

We’ll take a stroll in the Tinghir palm grove and then head to Erfoud the capital of daits,

passing through the palm groves of Tinjdad and Touroug. In Erfoud, we’ll visit a workshop dedicated to marble and fossil

production before continuing to the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, we’ll swap our car for camels to enjoy the sunset and spend the night in the dunes, enjoying a dinner and overnight stay in a camp.

DAY 3: DESERT – ERG CHEBBI – RISSANI – IFANE – FEZ

We’ll rise early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we’ll ride camels back to Merzouga and travel through Rissani to the scientific city of Ifrane, often called Moroccan Switzerland,

crossing the Ziz Valley and the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. Along the way, we will pause for photo opportunities at Berber villages before reaching Fez,

where we will relax and enjoy breakfast at a charming riad.

DAY 4: FEZ – CHEFCHAOUEN

We’ll spend the morning exploring Fez, visiting the old Medina,

including the Bou Anania Medersa, the beautiful Nejjarine Fountain,

and the historic Karaouine Mosque,

which is home to a key cultural center of Islam and the University of Fez. We’ll also stop at the world-famous tanneries before taking a break for lunch (not included). After our Fez exploration, we’ll make our way to Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, followed by free time to wander through the charming blue and white streets and enjoy panoramic views. Overnight stay and breakfast in a cozy riad.

DAY 5: CHEFCHAOUEN – TANGIER

At the scheduled time, we’ll transfer you to the airport or port in Tangier, concluding our services and your memorable journey through Morocco.
