Join us on an unforgettable 3-day adventure from the imperial city of Fes to the vibrant heart of Marrakech. This journey takes you through Morocco’s breathtaking desert landscapes, ancient kasbahs, lush valleys, and dramatic gorges. Ride camels through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, sleep under the stars in a Berber camp, and explore the famous kasbahs and filming locations of southern Morocco.
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Your journey begins with pickup from your accommodation in Fes.
Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane (the “Switzerland of Morocco”) and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques.
After lunch in Midelt, continue through the Ziz Valley, a lush ribbon of palms and dramatic cliffs, reaching the town of Erfoud, known for its fossils and marble.
Arrive in Merzouga by late afternoon, where you’ll begin your camel trek into the vast Erg Chebbi dunes.
Watch the sun set over the golden sand before arriving at your desert camp.
Enjoy dinner and traditional music around the fire under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Wake up early for a sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast. Ride camels back to the village and head towards Rissani, the spiritual home of Morocco’s ruling dynasty.
Visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and explore the local market.
Continue through the Berber town of Alnif to reach the impressive Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls reach up to 300 meters high.
After lunch, travel through Tinghir, stopping to visit an old Jewish quarter, then head to Boumalne Dades.
The day ends in the beautiful Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional guesthouse nestled in the gorge.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, continue through the Valley of Roses, stopping in Kelaat M’Gouna to visit a rose distillery.
Head towards Skoura to explore the palm groves and visit the well-preserved Kasbah Amridil.
In Ouarzazate, visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah and see the famous movie studios where many international films were shot.
Next, discover the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah with a local guide—a fortified village featured in numerous Hollywood productions. After lunch, travel along the winding Ounila Valley to reach the lesser-known but beautiful Kasbah of Telouet.
Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and arrive in Marrakech by evening, where your driver will drop you off at your accommodation.
